Religious Educator Program

The studies are full-time and for a student with a bachelors degree in a theological or biblical subject the education takes two years. Students with a bachelors degree in a subject within the humanities other than theology will study for three years. Students on this program will receive a theological education at masters level with a focus on Eastern Christian Studies at Stockholm School of Theology. At Sankt Ignatios College in Södertälje the studies will focus on pedagogical studies like how to create a safe and stimulating learning environment within a Church congregation or a diocese, and how to encourage participation in the life of the Church by clergy and lay members.You will study subjects as:- Eastern Christian liturgics and ecclesiology - Theory and method in Eastern Christianity - Sources of faith - Patristics- The Scripture in Eastern Christianity - Methodology- Masters thesis You can read more about the program at www.sanktignatios.org or www.ehs.se/eastern-christian-studies
