The programme is designed to give students a focused, relevant and utilizable body of knowledge in entrepreneurship and innovation management, suitable for people with an interest in starting and managing innovative projects either within existing structures or by realizing new economic endeavors.

As parts of this, the programme will give the participants:

• Anunderstanding of the nature of innovation and entrepreneurship and thepotential inherent in this, including but not limited to theories ofhow these function, how they can be managed, and how to find novel waysto realize projects in the economy.
• Thenecessary skills to start and manage projects of an innovative nature,including skills in planning and executing new projects and start-ups.This also includes critical skills for the effective leader in acontemporary economy, such as creativity, communication andpresentation.
• Aset of critical skills needed to properly analyze and assess innovativeprojects, as well as the theoretical basis upon which the participantscan build their further development as innovation leaders.

Programme outline

The programme is composed of three stages: Core, Focus and Project. By first giving participants the basic knowledge needed to analyze and run innovative projects, and then deepening this understanding with more focused innovation management skills, the programme wants to give the participants the tools with which to realize him-/herself as a part of the innovation economy.

The Core of the programme will inform participants in theories and practical skills in industrial management, innovation management, business venturing and planning, as well as presenting state-of-the-art insights into innovation and entrepreneurship. In the Focus-stage, participants will concentrate on some aspects that are very relevant in combination with innovation and entrepreneurship. In this stage, participants can expect to receive a deeper insight into matters such as branding and marketing, project management and the philosophy behind innovation. In the final stage, the Degree project, participants will be guided to use the elements of the two earlier stages to develop both an innovative project and a written assignment on the basis of this, thus fusing together the different learning logics of the programme.

The teaching logic of the programme strives to make this project something that the participants can engage in throughout the project, so that the more theoretical aspects of the programme continuously supports a self-defined innovation project. This combination of practical skills and theoretical enhancement informs the programme as a whole. Through this, the programme strives to create a meaningful whole that can help the participants to realize their innovation and career potential.
