The aim of the BSc course in Physiotherapy is to prepare students for the prevention, medication and rehabilitation of movement system disorders and other diseases using the therapeutic tools of physiotherapy.
Language of the courses is English, therefore it is essential to speak and
write English fluently.

Postgraduate Opportunities
The University of Debrecen offers a lot of internationally competitive master courses among them the Master in Public Health course in English.
The course is 8 semesters (four years), individual study plan makes it possible to graduate in 7 semesters (3,5 years).

Debrecen har en lång historia inom högre utbildningar som sträcker sig tillbaka till 1500-talet. 1538 etablerades The Calvinist College of Debrecen. Skolan kom snart att bli det mest betydelsefulla kulturella centret i landet och ett stort antal berömda författare, forskare och politiker tog sin examen vid skolan.
Under 1800-talet grundades en ny skola för juridik och teologistudier. Även om skolan ännu inte startat en separat institution för medicinstudier så utbildade man blivande läkare.
Beslutet om att grunda University of Debrecen, en ny och modern skola togs 1896 och i oktober 1918 stod skolan klar. Till en början hade skolan fyra institutioner; Arts, Science, Theology och Medicine. Institutionen för medicin vid Universitetet i Debrecen är den första i central Europa med ett eget campus och dess grundvärderingar bygger än idag på sin föregångare.
1951 beslutade man att den medicinska institutionen skulle bli en egen skola och University of Medical School var grundat.
Idag har skolan 22 olika fackliga avdelningar inom allmän medicin och 25 avdelningar som specialiserar sig inom olika medicinska områden. Skolan är en del av stadens universitets sjukhus och ger därför sina studenter möjligheten att genomföra sin praktiktjänstgöring på skolan.
